Staking Metroamp split turrets
My hands are a bloody mess...cuts, scrapes, blisters....I didn't know fabricating PTP boards was an excersize in self mutilation. What tool is best to use for the metroamp split turrets? The 1/8" nut driver looked like a no brainer but after snapping a dollar or two worth of posts...I had to start drilling the holes slightly larger than 3/32" and not leaning so hard on the darn thing. Surely there is a "seating" tool that is less labor and body fluid intensive!

Where are we going and why are we in this basket?????

I've got the same tore up knuckles....
I drill a 2.6mm hole and press them in with the hollow part of a staking tool I picked up somewhere. Sorry I don't remember where, but it's not the typical Mouser one. I've bought 3 or 4 of those thinking it was, but it's not.
To stake them, try a 2.8 or 2.9mm bit. That will let you put them in and sort of hold them until you can stake the bottom.
