My Schecter commited f'd up neck-icide

Post by tonejones » Sat Jan 06, 2007 3:03 am

Hey guys,

Bummed me out: got to the store early yesterday to do a string change and the high E string was all out of whack afterwards.....

Eyeballed the neck, needed adjusting pretty bad (didn't day before BTW)..

Turn the truss rod...and nothing!!!!!!!

I only got this axe less than a year ago......

I guess it's time for me to find out about Schecter's warranty policy :(
Let's get going, 'cause there's too much music, too little time!!!!

I had a '76 Stratocaster with a neck that rollercoastered. Had it for a coupla' years and I traded it even for a Takamine 12 string.
Granted those years were bad but I think it's just an unfortunate piece of wood. I notice with some of the high priced guitars
that the wood has not fully kilned and the frets pertruding out the sides.
Quality Control is overlooked at times because production take preface.
There should be no prob getting a FREE replacement under warranty. NO company want's the embarassment...

Still waiting on a reply from the Schecter rep.

Man I'm missing my Schecter.

Sounds silly for someone who has a '76 LP deluxe to play, I know.

Man the '76 is sooooo easy to play that it almost feels like I'm cheating.

I guess I'm getting hooked on the jumbo-fret/digging-in hard vibe, the Lester almost seems too nice a guitar now!!!!!

It's like driving a modern car and then getting into an old 70s car that takes all of one finger to turn the steering wheel.........
Let's get going, 'cause there's too much music, too little time!!!!

LOL I feel the same way about the different gutars. The different neck profiles and tones really affect my playing.
