I don't know how to make the letters any darker, but I am seriously IMPRESSED with it. I've had a few guys who've been around tell me it's one of the best rock guitar amps they've heard. I probably have about $500 into it but that includes a fair amount of the parts and a cabinet for another one. I'll post some clips when I figure out how to do that. The harmonic content is unreal on this thing. Phil

i was kind of IMPRESSED with the clips myself, & at that kind of a cost...
it will probably be my next project also. i am a little concerned about all that exact physical placement stuff. ehh, i'm good at copying other's work from pix!

That looks killer! I started mine about a year ago, before the Francesca photos came out. I set up my power supply board based on what I thought would fit best inside the chassis. I'd like to build another that's a little more true to the original. :)
Gear:
'74 Super Lead rebuilt with '68 metro board and old stock mustards.
'73 Super Lead
'68 Basketweave with pre rola G12Ms
'70 Basketweave

Mark, you'd be better off exploring the trainwreck forum, maybe even specifically this post http://ampgarage.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=673. The express is the most popular build and is a killer "lead" amp. What happened is that a couple guys (friends of mine actually) were able to get a hold of a real express called "francesca" which the owner graciously let them take tons of internal shots of....this became kind of a community project and with alot of legwork on everyone's parts, they were able to accurately clone the express.

AFAIK, the liverpool was supposed to be a sort of AC30-type of amp but the end result didn't sound like an AC30. Dana Hall just built one and the thread is here:

Hey Rockstah the problem is that Guitarpicker has chosen NOT to open his amp up and share and his reasons are his own and they should be respected. On the other hand Francisca has been documented. And from the reports of the many clones already finished sounds like a terrific amp. Your best bet is to go ahead a start there. See you on the Trainwreck forum.
