Thanks for that info Cary ..will have to try it out.

To return the favor ..If you use Audacity you can set it up to record streaming audio from any format..as long as you can hear it on your computer it will record it...even the stuff that won't let you download.

Use audacity to change your music pitch to A432 !

432 the drums and guitar sound bigger, fuller. Chords are harmonically richer. Dave's voice sounds more true to his natural speaking voice, the mix in general sounds natural. Listen to the whole song and notice how fast it ends. Now listen to you original. Feel irritated? Does the mix seem pinched and thin? Does Dave's voice shrink? Do the drums lose their power and big hits? Does Ed guitar sound harmonically simpler and smaller? Is that fuckin crazy or what?
I find this to be the case on every song I am experimenting 432 on.
Research 432. A440 allegedly was changed for it's ill-effect on human thinking, and body by Goebbell, a Nazi in 1939. Whatever, but consider this, before the standard change everyone just knew 432 was the tuning, ---- people like Mozart

Yep I think it's recording off the speakers cause you can change the recording level if you change the level of your speakers..but it's not bad if you say are recording whatever at 44khz and 16bit works pretty good for things like myspace etc.
Here is neat link on the A440 A432 conspiracy....kind of makes you wonder how guitarists such as Hendrix and EVH tune their A flat ....

I'm with you tho ..I tune flat always...But I always figured it all as a harmonic multiple of the earths natural resonance ,..schumann resonance of the earth..

The clip you posted holds a whole new marketing scheme for recording artists/labels ..The 432 hz version for those that require harmonically correct music to listen too.

I can see the record companys vacillating as we discuss this.

Don't know if it's the power of suggestion but yeah ..after listening to A432 then going to A440 ..The A440 did sound irritating and not as harmonious..

It records from the recording source you have selected in your OS. For Windows set it to Stereo Mix and it will record directly what would go into your speakers, you don't even have to have a mic.

It is if you assume A440, but if you assume A432 which is really A flat , the new 1/2 step down would be different also.

. But it seems to hold some weight and definite pondering. But still. Its just variance of pitch to a reference point. That point of reference is subjective to a degree. The other thing is we are accustomed to and use to the world we live and that lives at 440 predominantly.
Funny enough that even Ed made a weird comment one time in a interview about tuning to standard with Sammy vs flat with Dave. He said "there is a reason A has to viberate at 440 hz". I still wonder what the hell he meant by that and why he would say it at all. Odd! Has he heard of this 432?

ESQ: What did you go to school for? You went to school for a couple of years.

EVH: Went to Pasadena City College, junior college, just for music. But I never learned how to read [music]. For scoring and arranging, a Henry Mancini book was the bible. And I never read it, of course.

Looks like he thru out the rule book and said "this is how I tune it , tough if you don't like it, I do"..kind of like his guitar playing ...."this is how I solo, tough if you don't like it, I do"....yep he has the rock and roll attitude alright and the harmonious tuning to go along with it.
