Having problems with Picture Size

Post by neikeel » Mon Feb 21, 2011 1:28 pm

I wonder if someone can explain.

When I try to upload pictures from my Photobucket I get the message need to be less than 722 pixels wide even though these pics have been uploaded to this site before at this size without problem.

Some I have resized and sometimes the problem does not happen. Why?

you have to resize them so that either side of them do not exceed 722pixels.

You can resize them in Photobucket, but it takes a while for the Metro software to "recognize" that the photo has been resized, so you may not be able to embed your Photobucket image for a while after resizing.

Yes I get that bit - going forwards on a newer site/host that happens, but why does it still show pics that I took ages ago on old threads (with bigger pictures) on the site but if I try to refer to the same picture on a new thread at the same size it rejects them as too big?

maybe it has to do with a script for the site that is now written on new additions as far as pictures added to posts?
thats my guess. ;)
