Chassis
Is it possible to purchase a 69 Plexi chassis with all caps up top in steel?? How about a MV steel chassis? I saw neither on the stores site! Thanks

Re: Chassis
I'm working with a new fab shop who is happy to do short runs of parts. But that doesn't make it cost effective. If the setup charge on the CNC is $100, you have to add that to the cost of the chassis. So to run a single chassis might cost you $150-175.
If there's enough interest, I can order a short run of those.

Re: Chassis
I might be interested too
I think a Supertrem layout would be good for the modders out there as you get an extra tube socket and two extra pot holes on the front for gain/masters or whatever, without having to drill extra holes or remove inputs.

Re: Chassis
Personally I would be happy with properly sized 100-watt blanks, that I could build PA's or Trems or whatever on.
Watts Tube Audio has stuff that's close.......but not quite right.

Aluminum. Steel is pretty tough on my punches. Simple folded corners would be fine, my Super PA chassis' corners are just folded.
Depends on price too (which of course depends on the interest you get on the whole concept, I know) the Watts 24" is only around $50 -- but of course it's a little short for correct Marshall replicating.
Not trying to to be horrendously cheap on ya, but it seems like I have to find ways to save a buck without losing a quality part whenever I can, or I'm not building anything.

Re: Chassis
Yeah, but converted to US dollars that blank is $102, and I haven't even paid to ship it over here yet. That's crazy money for a blank, George's finished chassis are dirt cheap by comparison!!!!

Re: Chassis
Didn't Watts just post some new chassis sizes?
I thought I had read that somewhere, maybe here?
Or is that what you are talking about?

Re: Chassis
How about MV... chassis only? I understand if you had to do a "special run" for 69 caps up top. ( I thought you sold that chassis in a kit,in steel) But since MV steel chassis are already available is it possible to buy "just" the chassis for a 2203? Thanks Mark

Re: Chassis
My mistake, I was supposed to list the MV chassis after we updated the store. I forgot.
I'll get that listed today.

Re: Chassis
Problem with that chassis is the big cutouts for the switches.
A good idea might be to have the chassis made with those shapes but a piece of steel at each corner and a hole in the centre so that you could use the small circular hole for toggles and just have to break through at the corners to enlarge the hole for the large illuminated rockers.
I would prefer a lay down PT option too, but I am just picky
