Heater Wires

Post by Ag_Nathus » Mon Jul 13, 2009 8:28 pm

Just did the heater wires on my 100W plexi superlead build and as I was checking continuity, I noticed that they were also connected to the ground. Is this right? I realize that the PT is connected to the ground lug through the green and yellow wire but should I be getting continuity on the heater lugs on V1-7? Is there no resistance through the PT when it is not on? I just wanted to check before I got too far and had to hunt down a nick on the insulation of one of the wires.

Thanks!

No, there is hardly any measurable resistance to the heater winding, at least for the average meter to read.......no worries most likely.
