I hate to say it but it doesnt look like it. I got work tonight and tomorrow. Id love to hit this one and meet people in person especially with George goin.

Are you able to take a guitar with you to these things? I was thinkin the other day Id prefer to try amps with my guitar and besides Id love to show off the rediculously nice playing and sounding strat I made- looking over the huge gashes and scratches it took from the day I put it together

Yeah, you can bring your guitar but vendors usually have guitars on-hand, anyway, for those who don't. Some people prefer trying amps with their own guitars if they plan on buying anything. One of these days, you'll have to make it out...they're a lot of fun, especially if you know people there.

Probably. At the LA show you could bring your axe. Matter of fact Doug Rapport stopped in the Metro room with his LP strapped across his back. I didn't know who he was then. George asked if he would like to plug in. Doug pulled out his LP and proceeded to play some killer shit. Me, George and gutpile stood there with our mouths open. Doug's a killer player and super nice guy, no attitude whatsoever. I asked who he plays with. He says "Right now, I'm in Edgar Winters band..." 'nuff for me!

Chief, whoa some major insults there..from Jersey, what exit??
Native New Yorker, once born there you can never leave
I don't think Philly boys think they are from NY though.
I went to the NY Guitar show some many years ago with Music Ground, what an experience that was..
Good luck to all at Metro Amp :)

Finally got to meet George and have to say what a super nice guy and terrific host he is.

The stocked beer in the fridge didn't hurt, either!

Good to see you again, Bri. Yep, it was kick ass. The JTM-100 with (and without) the '69 pedal rocked my socks....I swear, it is just the ultimate desert island amp for me. Combine that with George's new Nash strat with the lollars...it's a match made in heaven (this from someone who can usually never get a strat to sound good through a Marshall). I kept gushing about it. Rob Keeler was playing a LP through the '68 at the same time. The tightness of the bottom end on that thing is just sick. Makes you just want to sit and play rhythm all day. The cabs with the Heritage greenies (20w) were the cherry on top. Just perfect for those amps.

George was a killer host (Thanks for the brew!). I'm sure he'll have photos and video clips popping up once he recovers

Same reaction from all at the LA show. The 45/100 is a monster amp.

Looks like the Premier Guitar Metroamp video is uploaded now:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_89b42r1qg

I haven't been able to watch it as youtube is blocked at work but if it sounds anything like the other clips the PG folks recorded/videotaped, prepare for an underwhelming experience.

Here's the rest of what they have so far uploaded.

They're still putting everyone up...all those floods caused havoc for them apparently.

Underwhelming indeed.. :( These guys go to an ampshow without any proper recording equipment that can handle the SPL...
Still: It ws cool to see VG in action. But the sound.. :?

That wasn't George. The guitar was way too high and strap way too short....

Even if the vid sound sucked you could tell how good it sounded in the room.

Whoa! I saw the mic they used on the cab move! Wait-a-sec! It's a hand-held! Noooo!

Hmm, yes. The instructions I got for recording optimum guitar sounds were, "put it somewhere near one of the speakers, but be sure to change the angle you hold the mic at and the distance between the mic and the speaker constantly."
