50 Watt Plexi Kits!!!!
Announcement:
50 watt plexi kits are coming together nicely. I'm pleased to say that preorders will begin in the Metroamp store on
Thursday November 1st.
A special introductory price of $999 will be in place until
Thursday November 15th
when kits begin shipping. Normal retail pricing of $1050.00 USD begins Friday Nov 16th.
Sozo caps are standard on this kit!
I'll have various options available:
JJ or Mullard and Tung Sol tubes
Metroamp or Mercury Magnetics transformers
Allen Bradley NOS CC resistor add on
Lead or Bass specs

Absolutely.
You will have seen the threads in the mods forum.
It makes the amp so much more usable. A good 50watter is bloody loud when it is at 'that' sound we all crave. Most venues, let alone rehearsals can cope with a fully cranked 50 watter.
The other option is an attenuator (most of which sound so-so to me) and a pedal. I like to adjust the controls to get to crunchy territory and adjust the MV to auditorium size and THEN use a boost for the dirt.
You may be more fortunate in playing big venues with compliant volumes.
