Board Replacement

Post by badhabit » Tue Mar 29, 2005 2:25 am

As you can see, I am hurting here, :( This is from a 50W '73, I am guessing 1987? The back of this board is shot and I just refuse to try to salvage. Had a Master Volume hacked in, appeard to be brutal surgery. Which board should I order to try to bring this guy back?

You could really use any board you wanted but the 69 would probably be best.

I'd agree. If you go with the basic '69-style 1987 board you'll have all the junction points you need to try the split-cathode '69 circuit or the earlier shared cathode circuits (Bass and JTM45 style preamp.)
I just don't wanna know what the hell was going on in that amp with everything standing up from the board.

Are you already in the process of taking the components out?

I just meant get the 69 because itll be closest to the amp you have now but like Flames just said, this has been discussed before and it seems the best thing to do to get the later board bacause it has all the turrets you need to make any circuit from Marshall through the 70s. Might as well get the 69.
