Post by badfinger » Fri Jun 08, 2007 1:48 am

Hi all, Building a JTM45-100 variant, does anyone know where i may be able to get a Power Supply Board for this? or board material? Already built my main board with board material supplied by Ampmaker in the UK, but cant get any material wide enough for the PS board. Does George sell them? Thanks.

Hi, I Got this board precut but undrilled, from amp maker in the UK, unfortunatley he is not trading at the moment due to ill health, and i dont think its available in wider pieces. Not sure what the board is made from, could be fabric/resin based not sure, but very rigid and stakes well.

I was originaly gonna build a 12 serise amp, got the boards nearly finished but changed my mind, decided to do a JTM100. i was going to convert the 12 serise board to JTM100 spec, but think i might start again from scratch.

After a lot of internet searching i have found some paxolin 3mm sheet, kite grade which i believe is the best grade for electronic stuff, should arrive next week hoping its good enough and looks ok.

I have attached some pics of how i perferated my 12serise board, time consuming, but it works.

Those look great!

Barry should hopefully be back soon. He was supposed to be coming back within a week or so but i believe he is unwell again so here's wishing a swift and complete recovery!

+1 for Ray. I have two boards he made for me in builds plus a set on the way for a DR103. They look great.

Correct board material

Post by badfinger » Thu Jun 14, 2007 3:54 pm

Well the Paxolin Board material arrived today, quite dark, shiney and with a slight mottled appearance, this is the paper/resin based Tufnol kite. Supposed to be good electricaly and with low moister absorbancy. Seems a little brittle and flakey round the edges

Question! Has anybody tried this stuff? and is it any good? or are the linen/cotton based ones better?

Anyone know what were the original early Marshall turret boards were made from?

Thanks.
