Hi guys,
Sorry for the silly question, but I am looking for a few capacitors and resistors to make a few changes on my board..
question #1 does anyone have a good suggestion as to where to buy these online ?
and 2..
can anyone tell me what a nf, pf, uf, and k represents ? I think the K equals a resistor ??
Sorry for the silly questions, but I am new to this.. any help would be greatly appreciated..
capacitors, resistors etc..

Re: capacitors, resistors etc..
Hi, pf, nf & uf are all capacitance values. Pf is an abreviation for pico farad. Nf is I think (but could well be wrong) stands fot nano farad. Uf is micro farad. Anyway the conversion is pretty simple. 1000pf = 1nf = 0.001uf. K is a resistance value, an abreviation of kilo, or 1000 ohms. Ohms are usually denoted by an r, 1000 ohms by k & 1,000,000 by Meg, or Mega ohms. Sometimes things can be written with the abreviation, or letter in the middle of 2 numbers, like 2k7 which is 2.7k or 2700 ohms. Likewise with capacitance where u might see 2n2 which is 2.2nf, or 2200pf or 0.0022uf. Cheers
