pots and grounding

Hi,

I wanted to try this way of grounding for the pots

I prefer 25k presence so here's my main question, using this method for gain, volume and mids, how do I wire the presence?
.1 and 4,7k to the buss and that's it?
.1 and 4.7k to the back of the pot and wire from the back of the pot to a ground lug?

second question
with the traditional buss to the back of every pot I'm a bit confused because each pot is connected so it's look like every pot is grounded but only gain,volume and mids have a connection to the 3rd lug
so does this mean bass, treble and presence are not grounded at all?
are these pots grounded somehow?
please help me understand this

Treble and bass don't need a ground reference they get it from the middle pot (its how the tone stack works), theres even a mod where you lift that middle ground reference for different tone, but the tone controls don't work any more.

the presence is always grounded, different grounding schems show this ground at different points, do a search on Larry's alt ground schem, seems to work best.

If you don't have the PEC pots you can ground the pot casing but you don't want to have grounding loop (induced noise). Pot casings are shielded via the chassis connection (when you bolt them in) thus you only need the ground reference for the circuit (at the pot lug). Some people for simplisty will ground the circuit (pot lugs) to the pot casing, others will use a wire to a better ground point.

If I've understood I would have to tie the 4.7k and .68 (or .1) together and from there a wire to the PI filter cap ground lug (if I want to follow the layout)

Yes, if you want to follow that layout.

I drew it up originally so I ought to know lol. The 2203 stuff and alternate grounding is all part of my original layout, the extra stage and other rougher bits were just added in by someone else.

Holy shit, you know I've had several versions of this layout up now, and I think I've been diligent in all previous versions to correctly display credit to Steve's original layout, and I finally dorked this one up. 1000 apologies Steve!
