clarity for super lead

Post by martin g » Tue Jul 05, 2005 4:23 pm

Hello I've got a question about adding clarity to my 1968 super lead. I experiment with caps, stock was wima tfm (all 0.022uF) and mustards (rest) I changed wimas to mallorys and I got more clarity with mallorys - I know that I should convert to sozo. I've got a question about resistors where is the best places to use carbon comp, c.film and metal oxide to get clarity? I convert to KT88 and what Negative feedback resistor should be cc, cf, metal oxide (blue), and anode line for preamp (two serial 10K -stock carbon comp)?
Thanks for any advice.

Honestly the CFs are fine if your going for clarity. Sozos are bright. Thety may improve your situation.
