16 or 8 ohm 4x12 cabs? is there a difference in tone?!

I am running 2 8 ohm 4 X 12s in parallel at at 4 ohms. I have the early reissue greenbacks in the top and the early Vintage 30's in the bottom. On a 1970 Super Lead with both Pre and Post PI Master Volumes. There is more power going to each speaker which can account for the faster reaction that some have previously mentioned. But I can't crank it up to 10 or I will blow up some greenbacks. But it sounds awesome at anywhere from 1 to 6 on the master. Anything louder and you better have some earplugs
