I had four Celestion Alnicos in a closed back 4x12 (2 silvers 2 blues). It did sound pretty good but I was always worried about blowing them up even with a 50 watter.

I prefer alnicos in an open back and ceramics in a closed back, am intrigued about the 2 golds and 2 Hs in x pattern as I have 2 H 55s and 2 H 75s Blackbacks and it is such a 3-dimensional rock monster I ay have to experiment 8)

You won't be sorry; that setup is the shiznit! G12H30s and an Alnico gold and a V30 ain't a bad combo either. I hate V30s by themselves, but that combo is great too. 8)

I know this is an old thread but...

StuntDouble or 908ssp, or Jim (or anyone else): I am putting together 2 Scumnico's and 2 Greenbacks in the X Pattern...
(see thread here: http://forum.metroamp.com/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=33150" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)

The 2 Greenbacks are going to be the Scumback's: M75 97db (G12M), and H75 99db (G12H). (Both 16 Ohm, 65 watt).

Which would you put in the Upper Corner of the X Pattern? The M75?

Thanks,
Dan
