George,
This creation is absolutely perfect. Makes you wanna kiss it (make sure the power is off first and caps are discharged!)
Be very proud as you have accomplished a milestone in the Metropoulos amps history book. Give your mom a big kiss for me!
If there was ever an amp that was worth what the old plexis are goin' for nowadays - this is it hands down! I thought I loved your replicas until now!
Flagship indeed!!! Congrats George.

What a masterpiece, George!! Absolutely brilliant. You've surpassed every builder out there, and have set a new standard that none can exceed.
Not only that, but you're now the poster boy for leaving OCD untreated!
Congratulations, George -- this firmly establishes Metropoulos Amplification as the industry leader for masterbuilt replicas.

My congrats, George! That's the way 'most true to original' replica of a Marshall I've ever seen and with that amp you've set the paradigm for all the other cloners everywhere! YOU'RE da man!
Only in case you didn't know yet: The yellow print Mullards indicate the tube as the long life, high reliability & high tolerances type. They do have a better cathode coating and a better vacuum (more gain) than the std. stuff. IIRC the yello prints are assured for a longevity of 100,000 hours, when operating in conservative designs. Meanwhile an invaluable tube!!!
C'mon! Let's open a butt of whisky now!
Larry
Thank you Larry!!! I have (3) of those yellow print Mullards. They make every amp sound like records from the 60's! Just awesome.
I couldn't help myself from using one in the amp pictures. but a normal NOS Mullard will ship with the amp.
Now how about that drink.....
Cheers!

Many thanks for all of your kind words. I really hope I can find enough parts to build these amps. I've been hoarding Bulgin plugs and sockets for a year now and still haven't filled the bin.
Delany: this amp has to be one of my top 3 for sure. The NOS tubes and caps make it sound 40 years old right from the start. I had a serious "time machine" moment playing it.
But I couldn't live without a '67 or '68 with EL34's too.
Mike: it's not Paxolin. But the closest material to the originals available in North America.
I will make clips soon.
