ok who has the balls ( or brains ) to provide any insight on making this amp a bit looser and give it a tad more mids?
Its a 50 watt pitbull . really nice sounding amp. I play it now in Tube rectifier mode with a 5AR4. I tried a 5U4GB bit it got too mushy.
The SS rectifier mode is too tight though.
Would lowering the filtering give it more compression and a looser feel? more touch sensitive?
without getting too loose as the 5AR4 did?
cheers!
Fryette amp anyone??

is there a filter choke?
to get more mids is possible but i need to know what's in the circuit, preamp tubes bias resistors and coupling caps, the tonestack values.

Sorry for resurrecting, do you know if there are any layouts/PCB/PTP info on this amp?
I'd like to build it.
Thanks
