Aldrip? Do you mean Aldrich mod? Nice clear schematic! This one has 430k on V1a Plate, and I've seen other Jose Schematics with the 330k there....When going with increased plates I like to run a v1a plate bypass cap ala Caswell AFD to help with any fizzies. This might be fun to draw a complete layout of. Here's a partial somone drew up of the tone boardezs wrote:8.3k gain 2? (have this notated as an Aldrip mod?)

Re: Clear Jose schematic and Layout 430k v1a version
I've seen it with the 430K but I've also seen a 100K there. The 430K is known as the Cameron/Jose if I remember correctly. The 100K was on a schematic labeled "Low Gain Jose"

Yep it says Jose Cameron in the corner of the Schematic. http://img707.imageshack.us/img707/6035/4znl.png" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I think this is what the Chupacabra is a copy of as well, but might have 475k v1a plate..
I've seen other takes on the Jose 330k v1a where someone has just added a 220k in series with the 100k v1a and put a 470pf just over the 100k, but not the whole thing. And upped v1b plate to 120k. I think that was a Jetcity 20watter, but looked just like the sloppy Jose schematic everyone's seen a gazillion times.
For over the top an extra tube added in front of the 320k/470pf with the same setup for 4 gain stages before the cathode follower which what I'm shooting for with that super trem.
So first stage Extra tube... .68uf/2.7k....330k/500pf
2nd stage V1a .68uf/2.7k.....330k/500pf
3rd stage v1b .68uf/2.7k ......100k
4th stage v2a 25uf/820.....
To cathode follower
Here's a layout of what I'm talking about. It's not complete. http://img195.imageshack.us/img195/9967/joseuq.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Just picturr another tube with those components on the little board hooked to the a side, and cascaded to v1a.
V1a and extra tube a side can go to separate input jacks for and old school a/b switch..
