Yeah, I'm the only one of my group of friends that hasn't had a kid yet, and I'm the oldest so I'm trying to catch up. I know it will change things in ways I can't even begin to imagine...but dammit I still think everybody needs to practice more

This kinda is the whole point. No matter how good or bad you are, everybody should always practice a little more.

Great. Little do they know that Korn is in the same corral as Disney.
Nowhere but up from there! Or down, I suppose.

That's awesome... And agree 100%! I've got friends who get in the car and their kids ask for the school bus song and other crap. Mine ask for Doctor Doctor (specifically the one off of strangers in the night) and running with the devil. Gotta love it!

That's ok Shannon, pop a puppy or two, wait about 3-4 years, and upon making up for lost time you will become WAY better of a player AND your kids will call you a BadAss!

I definitely agree with you. It takes patience and determination to learn how to play the guitar. A person can take formal guitar lessons from music school or do self-study using different videos that we can see in YouTube.

Just wanted to say again, it is important to learn basic technique. There have been a rash of clips with unbelievably bad playing that have received lavish praise again and I just don't understand it.

Thats because you guys are too busy sucking eachothers dicks and criticising people to let practising get in the way. Keep taking yourselves too seriously.

Well I can only repeat that what I'm talking about is basic technique, no one is expecting perfection, but there is a distinct lack of basic technique that this thread is really discussing. I'm not sure what you are trying to say, but this thread is meant to encourage people to gain some basic skills.

In the late 70`s in Raleigh NC everyone that was playing in a band, big or small locally was good on the guitar. There is no music scene anymore and the internet will not make up for that ever.
