mxr carbon copy vs. TC flashback delay ?
Im looking into purchasing one of these delay pedals and have a few questions. Who has one or both of them and whats your opinion on the quality and how do they compair to each other. I like that the Carbon Copy is simple only a few choices as Im mainly looking for just a analog and tape echo sounding pedal. The TC flashback has tons of shit on it I will never use but sofar the video clips Ive seen the flashback sounds better on the analog and tape modes than the CC. But I have only heard the CC mostly in a clean setting and not playing solos like my favorite players George Lynch and Michael Schenker. But the flashback I have heard a few clips of guys playing licks similar to them with a good amount of distortion. Anyone that has either one of these pedals or has tried both I would love to hear your opinions on them. As far a quality, transparancy, and overall tone.

The TC sounds uber techno ! A very good thing for technology and how it’s evolving. Computer friendly and upgradable. Presets off the innernet’s and patches/library from yer fav player’s. True bypass, and it’s second duty; a looper with 6 sec’s. o’delay. Sounds great....
for keyboard player’s, doesn’t it?

I actually found a michigan based company that I love the sound of more than both of these pedals. A little company called Lovepedal they make a awsome boutique echo pedal.

Its called the gen5 echo its touch sensitive and was designed to sound like a old echoplex in a box the size of the carbon copy. Just a few knobs and I would say they got it closer to the old tape echo sound than anyone elses pedals Ive heard sofar. Should have in in a few days. I just wish I had a way to make a video so I could post some clips once it arrives.JimiJames wrote:Nice ! What model ?

Have you received your Gen5? Apparently it's not on Lovepedal's website anymore, I can only see the Echo Baby pedal...

Hi yeah they had one down at Guitar Center left and I snatched it up. amazing sounding echo pedal I just had a friend come over and jam the other day on my rig. Hes pretty firmiluar with the old echoplexes and seemed to like like it alot. I believe you can still purchase them through them and Ive seen some on ebay and amazon that are brand new with full warranty. Im loving it but still may get one of Empresses new tape echo pedals when they come out in a couple months. And maybe sell this one if I like that one better.Twistingcrow wrote:Have you received your Gen5? Apparently it's not on Lovepedal's website anymore, I can only see the Echo Baby pedal...
