speaker break in with transformer -- current ?
If I've got some 8 ohm, 65 watt speakers, I should be safe using a 12.6 V transformer to break them in. How much current, though, should the transformer be rated for?

I know that page. It says nothing about current.

that is just about 5A using the formulae power = voltage x current so you want to find current power divided by voltage

What type of current is the 12 volts? You need AC. The 12V you have should work. I would do the speakers independantly though. I bought some of the cheap Warehouse greenback clones a few years ago and did this with a variac on about 8 volts in 3 hour increments. I think I had about 30 hours total on each of them. The difference in sound after I just did the first was pretty noticable from just hooking it up to a smaller head and comparing.
You can do the 2 speakers at once though. Just math it out correctly....but it's loud!
