Just got back my Metro amp a few days ago from Tim Caswell and I think she's sounding pretty darn good. It's not a Marshall so don't let the logo on the front throw you guy's. It's a Metro kit I built...'69 spec 100 watt Superlead. When Tim finished it, he called me and let me know that in his professional opinion the amp sounded better than 9/10th's of all the Marshall's he mods (especially the hand-wired reissue). I added some sound files for all who are interested. I know the playing is piss poor but the main goal here is input from fellow forumphiles. IMHO, the amp is a bit trebley, so I need to back off the presence a lot. Furthermore, Tim added a mid-level switch and Lead-Cutt switch that I don't find quite useful. Lastly, the effects loop is a tone-sucker and the footswitch pops. However, I'm happy with the overall sound quality. Ya'll be the judge!

Yep, sure sounds like Slash tone to me! I'm glad you found the tone you've been trying for.
Can you get a good Under Lock and Key Lynch tone is my question?
Isn't that the SIR amp #36 or #39 that Lynch kept renting out from underneath Slash and vice versa?

Lynch used #39. Slashed Recorded with #36 which was a sort of copy of #39. Slash used #39 For rehearsals.harddriver wrote:Yep, sure sounds like Slash tone to me! I'm glad you found the tone you've been trying for.
