Bring back the noize!!

Post by yngwie308 » Tue Jul 08, 2014 8:16 pm

I know there are F1 racing fans here. The new V6 twin turbo engines have all the exciting sound of an electric leaf blower...seriously.
This 3.0L V12 1995 Ferrari has the screaming sound all true racing fans love, they are testing 18 inch wheels on F1 cars this week, howzabout some real exhaust sounds again..

Can I get an amen brothers..Fill, Chief, Sir Jim??

A big AMEN from me for sure.

You would probably get one from every driver too.

I went to the Montreal F1 in 95 & 96 and the sound was incredible.

They would sell ear plugs at the entrance every year and my first time there I thought, I don't need no stinkin ear plugs.

Needless to say as soon as the cars hit the track, we ran back to buy those earplugs.

I have never experienced anything louder in my life.

Bring back the V12 and you have a winner.

I remember that race in Canada (maybe '95), where Alesi was in a hurry to leave the pit box and he was just revving the V12 Ferrari impatiently. Great sounds for sure.

There is a lot of push from Red Bull and Ferrari to make changes to the format for next year, so we may have progress towards that goal.

Aaaaah. The good old days, when gas was $1.00/gal.

The 302 in the '69 Camaro Z-28 wasn't too shabby either.

DAMN, that Cuda is amazing!!! At first I thought bullcrap 'cuz the stock suspension would never survive (or the driver survive it!!). I had a '71 340 Challeneger back in the day. It was pretty quick STRAIGHT but don't try turning or stopping it!!!! :palm:
