Growing up in OC, that's the only way I ever heard it pronounced.
Too funny, eh? Even when I correct my pals and point to the sign and ask "Where is the extra " I "? The look at me like "whut?"
Don't feel bad about your first bike. I almost bought one till I was warned that Sporsters are Chik bikes... So I got a Soft Tail.
Or, "Hey, is that your girl friend's bike?" and "Did deliver the newspapers on that this morning?" :o

Had a fellow employee coming out an east coast plant once. Co workers said "You'll get along real well with Jim. He rides a Harley, too". So in the meeting he asks "What do you ride?" At the time I had a '94 Heritage Nostalgia and my '87 Softail Custom. I ask "and you?" He answers "BRAND NEW DYNA LOW RIDER!!!!" Without even thinking or trying to a prick I sincerely reply "Cool, my girl friend rides one" You ahd to see his face and everyone in the room busted up laughing then I l realized how it sounded!!! oops....nahhh 8)

I used to deliver the OC Register back in the 70s on my bike. I took a huge dog with me to collect. One guy didn't pay, so I leaned a big trash can full of water against his door and rang the door bell.
I was too young to break his legs, so I flooded his house.

Ahh.. Childhood

Here's mine:

Damn 1024 x 722! Like I have time to mess with resizing, cropping, uploading, and downloading pics to a website. This forum is absolutely weird when it comes to the pic sizes that it will/wont accept. I KNOW I've posted larger dimension pics and the forums have accepted those picture (or .jpg) parameters so, Whats Up? I'm using Image Shack but apparently unless I pay, I don't get the picture resizing services along with storing pics. Anyways the following pic is enough to get the gist.

ONLY with the tribal motif.

Hey Mike, I kept getting 1024 x 722 errors when trying to post my pics so I took this pic right off the web. Mine is a darker blue color with a tribal motif but, this one is the same year, make, and design. I kind of like the greenish color with flames on this one. Guess what? I'll bet this pic from the web is a helluva lot larger than 1024 x 722 what'll you bet?

I never could get into the looks of Harley's plus, I liked the idea of more rubber underneath my ass for a more comfortable ride and better traction. You hit a piece of chert at the proper angle with your back wheel on a Harley at speed and you're going down. Conversely taking curves too quick with a Big Dog K-9 can take you out as well.

+2 lou!!!

There's one (or two or more!) for everyone!

BTW, I can't post pics at all. I'm assuming you click the "Img" button then copy and paste the pic in between? Don't work for me.

EDIT!
Here's a link to an old thread with a pic of my old faithful '87 Softail Custom!

And the "Bat Cycle"! Scroll down to see what the garage once looked liked! You boys and your toys, bikes, cars, amps, guitars...

Are you using a hosting site? I think you can use the forum for some limited pics.

Thanks guys for the  , Chief you've got a nice bike there as well buddy!

The picture size requirements for posting are as crazy as posting replies to a thread. For instance I've had the situation where I typed one line, and was logged off. Then I've had cases where I typed a large paragraph, and wasn't logged off. It's gotten so ridiculous, that I started "copying" what I've typed before I hit "submit" so that I may have to log in again, but I won't have lost what I've previously typed. The minute I forget to "copy", that's when I get logged out and "lose everything".

Thanks,mm! Rock & Roll Custom paint did the work based on my design ideas. The ghost skulls on the front of the tanks are killer. They are out of biz, now. I believe the principal is staying at the gray bar hotel, tax evasion I heard.

Too many cylinders and far too relaxed riding position.

My baby is one of these and will be ripping up some tarmac when I get my tank back from painting and pinstriping

Those BSA's (were/are) classics. As a kid I remember a neighbor down the street used to own a Norton Commando.
