Injured Warrior Run 2013 - USMC Camp Pendleton

Post by NY Chief » Mon Nov 04, 2013 3:50 pm

So I took a day off work last Friday joined 600 of my closest biker neighbors and blasted down to Pendleton to honor our brave and courageous heroes. It sure was a sobering experience to ride through the base seeing some active duty training in progress, Marines saluting US as we passed by. And the brave soles recovering from the injuries sustained while keeping our flag free were all an inspiration. The run was able to donate $28,000 to the Freedom center to help get these proud soldiers back on their feet.

I know we have a few service men here.

Thank you one and all for your service and sacrifices!!

It was back in 1984 when rockstah picked me up from Pendleton graduating boot camp.

Right on Chief. :toast:
A gratitude to those served like Jimi and Kyle, those who came back missing limbs like my cousin Jesse, and those who gave all like Ben and his brother Jeremy. Thank you all for your service to our country.

First, great start of thread. Our neighbors are active in Wear Blue to Remember.

This was started at JBLM, where our own Ben Wise was stationed stateside.

Second, "somethin' else" is 100% correct. That type of rhetoric has NO place anywhere, let alone on an amp forum.

Thanks Mike. Sorry for my bad behaviour everyone.

It's an awesome thing y'all did, Chief, I imagine it was a huge day for everyone and that's what it's all about!
