Your parents music or your kids ?
A couple of threads in the 'Artists' and 'Hendrix' sections got me to thinking......"Would you rather play/perform the songs your parents liked (this could be whatever obviously) or what your children are listening to ( lets say teenagers)" ?
Obviously this means us middle aged and up folks (late '30's and up) unless your children came very early. I personally would now rather play/perform my parents music (which I loathed by the time I discovered Kiss) over this stuff these kids are listening to today. So which is worse now, our parents music or our kids ? (weird place to be in huh, total nostalgia or total shit )

Most of that was in MY collection fresh from the cellophane...
bought them new right after most of them came out (except John Horton...those were re-releases)
Had Carpenters 1st album
Had CTA...Chicago's first album...
every time a car goes by and rattles the dishes in the hutch I hear my father saying something about "what these kids today call music" and find myself wondering if it is really that bad or different or if it is in my own mind and age, but I cannot abide "hiphop" or "rap" even in small doses...and even find som eof the stuff I was really big on years ago to be dis-tasteful
