New build board idea solder splash

So when I built boards there always seems to get "splatter on the board for soldering. I was thinking of covering board with tinfoil while soldering and pull it off afterwards. Any other ideas?

I assume you mean resin splatter. Use a decent solder like Kester 63/37 and clean off what little residue there is with isopropyl alcohol.

Will flux still boil (spatter) if you turn down your heat,,, or just scrape with wood chopstick
