Blackface Bassman - one-channel variation

Post by TobyFreh » Tue Oct 29, 2013 11:15 am

Hey guys,

I finally managed to register for this board, even though I'm reading stuff here since a long time. Great board :) !

I hope you will help me on this one:
I am building a guitar amp for the other guitar player in my band. It's gonna be a Blackface Bassman circuit with the 3rd gain stage switchable, and one cap in the tonestack that switches at the same time (to emulate to a certain point what would happen if you switched from the normal to the bass instruments channel). It also features a LarMar PPIMV.

So, here is the schematic I drew:

Do you think this looks correct? Any further suggestions?

The idea is to build an amp that is very simple to handle, and that is capable of nice Fender cleans and a great crunch, good for Stones-type classic rock (Mick Taylor) and alternative/indie stuff with lower gain. Also, I hope it will take pedals very well.

Thanks in advance!
Best,
Toby
