Vox AC30/15 Rectification

Post by stratonenator » Sat Jan 19, 2013 6:46 pm

Hey guys.

I am working on a 15 watt ac30 build. I am stuck right now at the rectifier because I was planning on running a gz34, but soon discovered that ac15 power transformers don't have a 5v tap. I don't really want to use an ez81, though I might have to, and have instead purchased a 6BY5g rectifier. I am now struggling to see how to wire the thing up with just one set of 6.3v taps on my power transformer.

Here is a tube datasheet:

And here is a schematic of the transformer I am using:

Can anyone draw up a quick tube pinout that would work with this?
So you think your Mesa-Boogie is cool? You won't even be able to hear it over my Marshall Superlead

it works just like using two diodes...
just tie pins 2 & 8 together for B+ into a capacitor (hopefully not more than 32uF)
