Hey John. No mods are needed for UK power. If you get the kit with the Heyboer power tranny, the primary on the power transformer has 6 wires. One is a common and the others are just for using this transformer in different countries where different mains voltages are in use.

I'm not sure if George has the diagram to show you which wire on the tranny is which, but if you ask for it I'm sure that he can get it from the manufacturer. Here in the US we use the Red and Orange where orange would be the common and red would be the 120VAC tap. In your case, you'd use the orange and one of the other wires, whichever one is for 240VAC mains voltage. The other wires you would simply cut them short(not all the way to the chassis, about 10-12 centimeters I'd say) and cap them off as you won't need these wires. Ask for the diagram for this tranny showing which wire on the primary is which and I'm sure you'll figure it out.
