Yup. The red channel:)
For a marshall type Power Amp, don't forget the Phase inverter. I Still think, that for this project it will be much better to use Solid state Power Amp. Less Work, Less Money.
For a tube Power Amp, you can build a nice Tube Amp. With good amount of gain. Use a Soldano/Engl/Mesa preamp, and the sound will be MUCH better than a Solid state pre and tube PA.

Re: Randall RG100(ES/HT) preamp build(getting started)
Most people seem to be very happy with the randall rg 100 ES or HT and they only stop playing them because of malfunctions.
(Dimebag Darrel, Chuck Schuldiner,Kirk Windstein and probably a lot more used this amp (kirk and dime did for most of their career))
And i have read that a lot of famous guitarists used solid state amps live or in the studio so they can't be THAT bad.
This is only my first project but if this goes well ther will be many more to follow.
The preamp itself does not seem to be very expensive so if it sounds very bad i can always build something new.
What marshall power amp(tube) type do you suggest for this type of preamp?

If it's solid state than it's an a GainClone. (search for it the the google) You need only a power transformer for this. One Chip LM3886/lm3875 that can give you 50 watts of power. No caps in the signal path, and no PA clipping. So no Power amp distortion here... It will be cheap, and better than avarage solid state amp. Just a big heatsink, to cool down the chip. The are tons of information of this amp. It's a HI-Fi audio amp. Same TYPE of a power amp that most SS amps use, just better. In simple words, it will supply the current for you speaker.
For a Tube power amp... You need Power amp Distortion so it's a el34 tubes. More headroom or base it's 6l6. More wattage, more base... kt88/6550. 50 watts will have more power amp distortion than 100 watt head at the SAME volume (dB), but not a the max volume.
BUT, if you will play it at home, and you don't have an attenuator, or Post phase inverter Master volume (PPIMV) - forget about power amp distortion.
If you will have a Tube Amp, you can put rg100 pre in the box and play it in front of the amp and to use it as a pedal, and it will be the same as what you want to do. Just with an option to turn it off when you need. You need a 24 volts for it? Grate! 9VDC 1A adapter in to the DC-DC step up coltage converter that will cost you 4$ at Ebay with free shipping.
I use JCM800 and a overdrive pedal, and I have Planty of gain. Put there an EQ and every shape/tone/feel of the gain is yours.
With an all tube amp you will be happier than with a SS/tube hybrid. That's why They are expansive. They SOUND.
Think of it once again.
