Hello all,
Hoping this one reaches somebody out there as I've noticed traffic on this forum has considerably decreased. Finally got around to building a 10 series Super Bass but have run into a bit of a snag. I have a PT from another transformer winder that resembles the Drake 1204-43. Was hoping to get some insight on how to wire this PT up with minimal changes to the power board of a 10 series amp as George used to build. Link to the wiring diagram is here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1sez-h ... drive_link
To clarify, there is no dedicated Bias winding and I was informed to grab the bias from one of the 460V inner taps. Was hoping someone might help me out in wiring this PT as I've already built the power board and would hope to not have to redo this segment. I've done some research on the matter and it looks like I'd have to connect the CT of the secondary directly to ground instead of between the Mains filter caps as I would not need voltage doubling.
Bonus: any way I could wire this PT to dual-voltage capabilities with the 3P3T switch? Hoping this message find someone knowledgeable.
