Selecting resistors for treble amplifier
I'm looking at selecting resistor for my treble amplifier project i'm building, but i'm not sure what type of resistors to use, I already found quite some information about resistor types, however i'm still not quite sure which to choose. Metal film seem the best choice at this moment. Can somebody give advice?

Flor a treble booster I would opt for metal film for their low nous characteristics, and a renownly quiet amplifying device.

Yep. With a treble booster you'll be wanting to keep extraneous hiss to a minimum, so decent quality metal films (like Dale/Vishay CMF series) are a good idea. As is over-rating slightly. You don't need to go mad though, as the benefits will be minimal anyway, but go up another step and the difference may be unmeasurable altogether.
So I like purple, okay!!!!!!

It's really the value that's most important in terms of self excess resistor noise in a circuit like that, and the noise characteristics of the device amplifying it, as well as the value of the amplification, especially since your potentially amplifying in the "hiss" frequenciesdemonufo wrote:Yep.
