I remember awhile back reading that one of the guys on the SLOClone forums did a "MarshSLO" amp. Joey, I think you helped design the power stage or something?
Anyways I wasn't able to find out much about the amp and was curious how it turned out. And what was the purpose of it? To have plexi tones with SLO gains?
Thanks
Rip

Yes it was called the marsholdano, and it was kind of a very early joint collaboration between another board member here actually (Robi), and myself. The idea was to voice a highgain circuit to switch between punchy and modern, and browner. Robi ran with the idea, and made many adjustments to his amp, and I don't know what he ended up sticking with in that amp though, if anything. he might still use it for a test bed.
I designed a power board PCB negative for him because he was using specific PT's, and parts with a very specific footprints.

Mike Soldano just gave me a tour of his shop the other day. It was a very cool experience!

Yeah, I think he wrote it about it a couple of times. If you do a search you will probably find something i thinkTone Junkie wrote:Joey did he ever say how that came out for him or what he learned in the process. Bill

Hi all, never seen this thread before.
This is how the amp looks now (the upper one):

This is how the Marsholdano sounds without any compression or equing (sorry for playing):

(please note different guitars used in various parts)
And this is how all amps I have by now look like:
