Im not saying it would sound bad Im just saying theres as much a chance it wont sound good as it will and so it may need to be tweaked. That preamp was mated to that output. It was tweaked together for each other.runout1 wrote:your right... I get all kinds of silly ideas cause I am rather

I have a pretty good single ended power amp platform that will run EL-34 or 6l6's Stan. My amp has run for three years without a single hitch. The transformers are cheap and I think it would run nicely with an SLO front end. Even thought he amp is single ended it doesn't sound like a small toy amp.
PM me I'll see you some pics.

Re: My soldano SLO highgain channel preamp info and clips.
I am interested in building this example as I am a fan of the SLO overdriven tone and the sound samples off the leaf. After looking over the layout it seems the BOM requires 3 1uF electrolytic caps (I have 3 100V's), is that correct? And the two unlables resistors by those caps, are they the two, 2 watt 100R that is written as attached to the heater lines?
Lasty, should the gain pot be a 500K and the mid 50K or are all of yours 1 MEg?
Thanks
