Tremolo vs No Tremolo

Post by Mars Hall » Fri Feb 29, 2008 9:55 pm

My next project is going to be taking a "97 Ann" BBRI and upgrade it with a PTP board. As I read these forums no one seems to like the sound of the tremolos. My original plan was to get the kit w/ trem circuit. Now I'm second guessing. Does the tremolo circuit take anything away from the rest of the circuit tonally or otherwise? Is it a bunch more hassle for something I'll never use? The tremolo circuit in the amp now does not work. I never bothered with it knowing I was going to change it anyway. Can that tremolo circuit be upgraded to sound better? I do like using the tremolos on my Fender amps.
