What's the purpose for this resistor?

Hi George,
I was just comparing the Bluesbreaker schematic you sent me to your pictures on the CD. I noticed you've got a 1k 5w resistor connecting the 10k resistor on the board (the one that goes to the choke and 32uf cap) to pin 6 of one of the output sockets. The Bluesbreaker schematic doesn't have this, but the JTM45 schematic from your CD does have a 1k 2w in this spot. Just curious what this does?

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Eamon, those show up sometimes on early amps. Normally there's a 1K going to pin 6 and a 470 feeding each screen. The result is a more regulated screen voltage, which makes for a stiffer feeling amp.

I later took that resistor out, but I wanted to try it to see the affect.
