Tag boards

Post by Guest » Sat Sep 03, 2005 3:53 am

I am considering building a Metro amp 100 watt superlead kit, does anyone know where I can locate a tag board like the ones that marshall is using in the 1959 HW ( it looks like a peg board with components inserted in it)

I think this look is really clean I want to try to keep the authentic vibe of the amp

thanks for any info that you can provide it may save me from drilling 248 holes in a pcb !!!!

 sorry, you wanted a perf board...

Ray Domzalski also builds some:

Also, RS components did sell perf board material (light-colored stuff--not sure if they still do). Marshall apparently used to buy it from them along with other parts (way back when they were called 'Radiospares').

Contact ******, he has the ones that are dead-on Marshall. This is a 45 board I got from Meeren. I also got the 67 board with filter tag from him and they're dead on. Just noticed George has the perf boards as well, so I'll be ordering that 68 from him as soon as I finish up in the Gulf.

I've been working behind the scenes to source perforated material from the UK. It's stil about 3-4 weeks away. And I haven't decided which material to go with yet. For now, you can get perforated red fiberglass from me. I have a pic of it in the 67/68 bare bones kit listing:

http://www.metroamp.com/store/product_i ... cts_id=351

But I haven't made a listing for it yet. I will as soon as this cart software mess is fixed.

George if one intends to build the 68 do you punch the chassis for the outside filter? Also, you could have thrown the JTM 100 tranny in there under the options as well. But I'm sure you had a good reason not to. In any event, I still have the JTM 100 to build yet and a 68 as well, when I get the Gulf thing out of my hair.
