Silly questions...

Post by Silverburst » Wed Apr 20, 2005 5:47 am

Hi guys,

Can I stick a Super Bass board into a Super Lead RI? Is there anything else I'd need to change in the amp to run it as an S/B?

I've got the urge to try and make the amp better before I get rid of it... sounds pretty grot when turned up.

Cheers,

S.

Except you'll have to change your shorts, 'cause you'll SHIT when you hear what you've been missing........many would recommend an output tranny change at the same time too, it's easiest to do with no board in your way.

Yeah. Get a new tranny too. Then when you get it together and turn it on youll definitely find the brown note right away.

Thanks for the tip guys!

I do know what your talking about as I use to own a '73 & a '78 S/B but sold them!!!!! The '73 funded my Diezel VH-4 purchase and the '78 brought me a (very heavy) V30 loaded 4x12...

I should have never had sold that '73 but the Diezel's alot more versitle BUT god do I miss that growl! I'm probably gonna run the RI along with Diezel if I can get it sounding better if not I'll try and get an original or get me one of Metro's kits.

Thanks again,

S.

Deizel huh. mmmmm....... Had me an Bogner. Soldano, Engl, Dual R, DSL, 900DR, Legacy, XXX, and others I cant remember but never played me a Deizel. I always thought Id hate them for some reason. I do love the clips of Bob Savage's Deizel. Do you like it?

yeah! The Diezel's an awesome amp... I don't really use it to it's full potential (four channels, midi switching etc) I just stick it on the loud channel and turn it up... I'm more Malcolm Young than Malmsteen!

Anyway, get past the slightly odd eighties/german looks and it's a beast of an amp... sounds like my old Dual Recto should have done! Big, fat, heavy...
