Please Help,Billy,flames,George..If you guys have a second..

Hey guys..I just populated my 69 superlead board with Vishay/Dale resistors..Just to see if I can hear any difference..I'm a bit worried about replacing the 2 watt metal oxide resistors installled on the board by George..My board came with a 100k on the feedback resistor..The two directly to the right of the feedback, the top one is a 10k and the one on the bottom was a 8.2k..I'm just wondering if the little dale's can handle these positions..Also the two metal oxides in the middle of the board going to the cap under the board and V2 pin6..If these positions are not going to make any difference, I'll just go back to the larger watt metal oxide resistors..Or Maybe order some Larger wattage Dale's from Mouser..Thanks for any input guys....Randy :D

Zap dont replace them. Theres no reason to. Just replace the resistors that actually see the signal. Maybe all the carbon films and carbon comps. Those metal oxides in the B+ rail are on the voltages and have an indirect effect at best but I doubt the type of resistor would change anything. Having said that I think 1W would suffice but Im pretty sure those Vishay Dales that Metro sells are 1/2 watt.

yeah, don't put 1/2 watters where the big resistors are, they won't handle it. Some people use 2 watters there.

I tried to get some 2 watt Vishays, but had some trouble. They sent me some military spec resistors thst were supposed to be 2 watt 600 volt, but they were smaller than my 1/2 watters??!!

The composition of the 2watt 600volt resistors can make for a difference in size. But if you're not 100% sure on those don't change them. You don't wanna toke something up, and as stated before, the resistors more related to the signal path itself may make the most difference anyway. At worst if those metal oxide 2watt 10K/8.2K's are off a little, your B+ voltages vary slightly.

Thanks guys..I'll put the 2 watt metal oxides back in the B+ line..And maybe those two in the middle of the board going to the cap mounted under the board..What do you think of the feedback resistor..Do you think the 1/2 watt Dale will work there..I might try a few different values and check out the effect..Thanks again..Randy :D

yeah. Use it for the NFB resistor.
