Re: RIP Eddie Van Halen
Completely in shock and heartbroken. I can't even express how I'm feeling right now.

Re: RIP Eddie Van Halen
My facebook post today:
Just like those before me who mourned the lose of Elvis or John Lennon, this one hits home and hurts! While I was into music from as early an age as I can remember, it was after first hearing Eddie Van Halen that made me realize I wanted to play the guitar and explore the music inside me! Eddie revolutionized what could be done with the instrument...and I am not only talking about his outstanding solo's, but his immense songwriting and rhythm playing skills!
He also set the benchmark on how a guitar should SOUND be BUILT!!!! He inspired and changed the guitar for MILLIONS of people! The world lost an icon today....a REAL TRUE ICON!!! This one is gonna hurt for a long time to come.
