While cool for the kid startin out and learning about stuff from a bands past its worthless to the mass of those out there who have stayed tight to all things vh. And did I mention they want $12 for it :? :x

I sucked it up and bought it anyway. I remember many of those articles, but I haven't been very good at hanging on to things over the years. :bang:

Yeah, I helped the economy and shelled out the bucks. It is nice to have all the articles in one spot. There are some tidbits that I hadn't seen previously. Such as talking about the first time he put a humbucker in a strat and chiseled out the cavity. He says that was a real strat and he used it at the Whiskey. Then he got the boogie body, painted it right away and THAT is the guitar on the first album.

I hadn't seen him articulate the sequence of event previously.

I guess I haven't seen this one yet...I'll have to check the newstands. I've never heard that sequence of events for the first album guitar spelled out that way before in any interview either. Is that a new interview?!

July 1985, starts on page 50 of the "book."

One of the other things that really sticks out to me is Ed's description (several times in different articles) that Michael Anthony never really contributed to the song writing. He "just went along with the majority." No wonder it was easy for Ed to replace him with Wolfgang.

I have it and it's my favorite VH rag ever.

I came downstairs one morning last week and it was on the kitchen counter with a note on it from my daughter saying that she saw it and knew she had to get it for me.

I saw the magazine this morning...it is nice for the kids that have never seen the material before and they did use a fairly fresh set of pics for the most part, excepting the Zloz pictures that everyone has seen in his coffee table books...

They have a nice full page Jenny Lens photo in it, but it is a shame that they didn't choose one that showed the whole black strat with Mighty Mite pickup guitar...
