Yeah, I don't want to be posting with a moderator who looks at things like this....(4:00 mins into the clip)...we've all seen it.

Yngwie is without a doubt incredibly talented, and a virtuosic player with few peers. Having said that, does anyone else find his playing, and others who came after him and fly that particular flag, boring and sterile? I always have. Being able to cleanly play the Harmonic Minor scale at an incredibly fast speed just doesn't get it for me. I also have a hard time with the ruffled cuffs.

allenc, my good man, it's very simple. One simply cannot have the vibrato without the cuffs. And moreover, one cannot have the cuffs . . . without the pout. There . . . you see now? No pout / no cuffs. No cuffs / no vibrato. One could even stretch the tale to say that without the pout there'll be no vibrrrrrato! And it goes around and around. All very simple. I hope that this helps you some. Enjoy your day good sir.

He's an including incredible talent. There's no denying that, and the way he can do.all those bends and stay in tune with a vintage tremendous is an art in it's own right. That being said, all the hair tossing, guitar flips, pouting and prancing.. Who's that for? I doubt there's a chick in the audience. The few that are, probably were dragged there by their man. Great player.... but weird. +1 on the Liberace Austin Powers cuffs

 True Mike, but there were a few exceptions but generally all male and mostly balding, myself included  I also spotted a few YM lookalikes, what they do during the day is an egnigma!
Tbh for me Malmsteen and Glenn Hughes stayed on way too long and tried to steal the show, but didn't. I've always felt YM knows he's a bit of a parody in his performance, it's a show and if you don't take it too seriously it can work? doesn't for me but he's the best at what he does.

I like the little dance and double leg kick at 2:34. Yeah, the leather pants and borrowed Prince "blouses" are really out of date now. At least he doesn't wear that red Captain Crunch jacket any more.

He's frickin' River Dancing y'all!

But after Wiki-ing him, I have great respect for the man who always did whatever the fuck he wanted to. Beautiful wife and son, happy man.

But I refuse to kiss his ring.
