Re: VH I parts
IMHO - Feel Your Love Tonight, Little Dreamer and Jamie's Crying (rhythm track) are great contenders to figure out the settings of the CSO ... In hindsight, I feel that the CSO is particularly audible on Feel Your Love Tonight. (my $0.02!)
Finally, it seems that Eruption, You Really Got Me and I'm the One have the most over-the-top/in-your-face sounds of all the VH1 tracks so it may be interesting to start there?
The great difficulty is to dial in the right amount of Drive.

Re: VH I parts
Another interesting bit is the quiet part in Ain't Talking About Love, around the 1:52 mark. It is one of few (sole?) moment in VH1 where we get to hear a little bit of clean sound. The tone is very unusually for a Plexi (IMHO) and could be the result of the CSO's particular btreble boosting? ...

Re: VH I parts
Well I am not on the 'cso' bandwagon, BUT, to answer the topics question (I think I'm answering it ?) I say that 'RWTD' or 'FYLT' get at alot of the rhythm aspects of the 'Brown' sound, those obviously being the Destroyer. I will go for 'Eruption' and 'ATBL' (especially the palm muted arpeggiated Am intro) for the Franky.
So basically I prefer the Franky for lead 'Brown sound' and the Destroyer for the rhythm 'brown sound'.
Having said that though, the two BEST chords struck on that first album, imo, are the 'A' chord in Eruption (It ERUPTED !) and that first 'D' chord in 'Atomic Punk right after the dive bomb, both examples being the Franky.
So basically I prefer the Franky for lead 'Brown sound' and the Destroyer for the rhythm 'brown sound'.
