Geez, you guys are harsh. I am actually surprised and happy that there even is a video.

Agreed. There's no need to make a video for anyone but the fans...There's certainly no money in it and no real marketing value. Is MTV gonna play it in between reality shows? Nope.

So why spend a bunch of bucks? The haters can hate a cheap one just as easily. :)

Well I don't think any of us are "haters". We've just been spoiled by receiving Van Halen's best back in pre-Diver Down days, and we know what they're capable of, and we want more of it. It's like going to Italy to eat the finest food, then you come back home and they start serving you Spaghetti-O's every week and expect you not to notice... :D :peace:

Yeah, but the music biz is so different now... I was very surprised that they signed with a traditional label, as opposed to the new model of using a major retailer as a distribution partner. (Apparently Dave wanted the marketing "juice" of the "hipper" Interscope.)

I guess spaghettios look pretty tasty to me after starving for 25 years... :)

VH have always hacked their way through this stuff that's what makes them original - they don't get caught up in the machine - maybe i'm naive but that's the way i see it.

THat and Dave was probably BANKING on getting the best distribution for max profit, never knowing if his ego would go for broke again,...

Yep, ever since you really got me, all simple hacked up band vids.
They really don't need more, or the expense. They'd brag about doin shit on the cheap.
Fuck the machine.

Pretty Woman while cute sucked balls and fed their excess.
All that choreographed MTV shit can bite me.
Jump, while choreographed was their best 'band vid'.
The VHII live vids kill.
Oh, and Unchained & So This Is Love. Remember when those came out how lucky we felt that they had captured those at all?

And today you can Tweet about everyone's next breath.
How much more 'media' do you need to get off? Go to Disney or Dubai then!

Best VH vid EVER?
Tora Tora/Loss of Control
Probably made during all that 1980 Invasion stuff that they really should grace us with!

The new vids are psycho-hacked up, for all the kids on a.d.d., and just another (great) band vid.
