I admire your (bravery) honesty. George is a fair man and will be accommodating the Amp Builder/Tone Mongers by accommodating members like you to participate in and mostly "keep the peace" with the Amp Guru's.

I assume the title will read something as follows :

Gear and Artists
_____________________________________________
Eddie Van Halen
Perfecting the mythical Brown Sound.
_______________
Van Halen: The Band
"Off Topic"
_____________________________________________
All rules will apply...
I really liked the way you had it categorized:
EVH Amps
EVH Guitars
EVH Effects
EVH Music/Sound Clips

It would be nice to weed through all the VHND reposts, etc.

I agree, those categories are fine. Even taking all the previous old threads and dumping them in those.

I would like EVH Amps and EVH Guitars in a combined thread, just for convenience. So much good discussion happens on both topics, I don't want to miss anything.

As it is now, I'm having to dig through the thread titles to find those nuggets...because so much now is about the music and tour.

Since the thread is officially Eddie Van Halen and not Eddie Van Halen's VH1 Plexi tone, I would like to be able to discuss the 5150iii and how he's recording it present day. However, this is a plexi clone project forum so if that's out of place, I'll look for a better home for that discussion.
Interpretation?! I thought I was playing it right!

That's because it is 72,000 posts by the same 25 nut jobs!

Anything technical should be archived and put in the how to or mods and amp scheme category. Everything else is relevant to tone so its tough to separate.
Ro#$%&@* has his own forum now and its divided up-maybe that should be studied how its layed out a bit to get an idea for organizing.
Problem is-someone posts a vid or clip and it turns into either a speaker, pickup, amp discussion or all three and its hard to tell what direction that example or clip will head to what category. Thats the toughy.

True. Human nature is to make seemingly unrelated comments in the passing, then that progresses to completely unrelated comments, then there we are again. I'm one of the prime culprits at times myelf. I'll vote "yes" for the new "EVH Off-Topic" if that will help the moderators & real builders to enjoy the site more for it's intended purpose.

As long as we're at it though, can we have a "Bash Sammy-Off Topic" too? Ha. Ha- Just joking... :D
