In the Assembly instructions there is one 100K 2watt metal oxide resistor recommended. Is it ok to use a 100K 1 watt Carbon Film resistor? what is the consequence?

The originals would have had 1 watt resistors in the B+ line and 1/2 watters everywhere else. Sometimes kits supply larger resistors so the leads are long enough to span the turrets. You should be fine using it anywhere in the amp except for the screen grids on the power tubes. These should be 5 watt or larger.

carbon film are not indicated for power supply, they burn very easy when capacitors and tubes go bad,use metal oxide, ceramic wirewound or Vishay Dale 3/5w wire.
