10.000 series PT

Post by Enrico » Fri Nov 27, 2009 12:33 pm

Hi guys...
I was wonderin what PT is used in the 10.000 Series Plexi replica 100W shown in the Metropoulos Amplification site...
It seems a higher stack when compared to the 1203-80-ML of the 12.000 Series replica...
Thanx!

It's the same PT as the 12,000. Not sure why it looks larger.

Thanks George,
I just asked that because i noticed that it seems to be a higher stack, but also 'cause in the inner shot, it seems to have a different primary and secondary arrangement...
So I was wonderin' if you maybe used a 45/100 PT in a pre production amp (even tough the 45/100 PT is even higher stack and different in the primary/secondary arrangement).
Thanks anyways and, of course, congrats for your incredible workmanship & knowledge!
Enrico.

Many thanks!

Yo could use a 45/100 PT (part # 1204-43) for you 100 watt build, but it requires a different arrangement for the diodes in the power supply.
Take a look at the diagrams:

Yeah,
I know the diodes arrangement difference, but I was just wonderin' about the PT dimensions...
then I noticed that the tranny showed in the site is the same in one of the amps showed in the archives... not sure about its serial number... maybe a customer that asked for a different PT... anyways, don't worry, it was just curiosity.
Thanks again,
Enrico.
