MetroLoop on 2204 PCB (vertical inputs)

OKay - I have never built an amp, and I am a little afraid of working in them, but I bit the bullet and installed the Zero-Loss effects loop in my '82 2204 Marshall.

There are no specific instructions out there for this model, but in the end it was very close to the turret model. Too bad I didn't just KNOW that from start. Anyway, it took a whole day but it is done, so....

If anyone ever need help message me.

How does it sound/work? I've been thinking of adding one to my 4104.

To tell you the truth, I spent all day just getting it installed, but so far so good. But I also only plan to use it for reverb.

I had one on a different 2204 combo (2010 I think) - and it was good for reverb, but not the best for boost if you are already running the volume close to full (or have a ppmiv) - you will not get a lot of added boost from one (if that is your goal, like to get your leads out over the top of the mix). But for reverbs, noise gates, EQ and other things you might put in one they sound really good.

I'd like to try a little chorus, delay and maybe reverb. I've tried things out front and they just don't do it. Thanks for the reply!
